Our Wave Men finished their GCI campaign with heartbreak after an Extra Time Penalty Shootout in the Grand Final against Elitefoot FC.

Leading 2-0 with 48 seconds to go in stop clock, the team conceded two late goals in quick succession defending the Power Play which forced 2 x 5 minute periods of extra time. Neither team took chances that were presented to them leading to the dreaded penalty shootout.

Unfortunately Wave couldn't convert their chances which led to one of the greatest comebacks in grand final history of the GCI and handing Elitefoot FC victory.

Regulation Time: 2-2

Final Score: 5-2 after Penalties.

Our Menโ€™s team topped Group B defeating Brisbane Dynamo 7-1, Kicking Goals 9-0, East City Auckland (NZ) 1-1, North Sydney 5-2 & Gold Coast Force 1-0.

Quarter Final 3-1 win against Crusaders FC

Semi Final 2-1 win against South Brisbane FC
