Success for Wave in the 2017 SEQ Futsal Premier League

The 2017 season has now concluded and we would like to take this opportunity to recognise and say THANK YOU to our wonderful Players, Coaches & Parents that commit to our SEQ season each year.
We have excellent Coaches who are willing to continue their own coaching development and improve their own tactical knowledge of the game in order to pass onto our teams & players.

A massive thank you to Nikki Grigg Photography who provides us superb action photos of our players each week, Nikki gives up her personal time each game day whether it be Home or Away and we cannot thank her enough for doing so!

Premier Men’s Season
Wave were close to perfect this season, finishing top after scoring more goals (79) and conceding less (36) than any other team. They lost 3-7 to Galaxy in Round 5 but gained sweet revenge in Round 10, knocking off their rivals 5-2 to claim the Premiership. The prolific attack was fueled by Julian Edwards, Corey and Josh Sewell all reaching double figures, with Corey leading the way with 17 goals.

Premier Women’s Season
Wave roll into the Finals Series as red-hot favourites after finishing undefeated and scoring 16 goals more than the next-most prolific side Galaxy. The only minor blemish on Wave’s season was the 5-5 draw against Galaxy in Round 5. Forward Samara Christmas grabbed the Golden Boot after a ridiculous season, scoring 21 goals to power the league’s most dangerous attack.
